- The depositor recommends using YRp7-17camp (ATCC 37630) as the reference for CAT expression and using the CAT assay methodology of Neumann, et al. One of a series (ATCC 37624 through 37634) of Escherichia coli/Saccharomyces cerevisiae shuttle vectors for investigating control of expression in yeast. A 5470 bp ClaI/BamHI fragment of YRp7 was ligated to a 770 bp TaqI fragment of pBR325 containing CAT. Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--4.3, 1.37, 0.54; PstI--4.8, 1.4; PvuII--4.4, 1.8. (ATCC staff) Medium is 1227 LB plus ampicillin.
